Emergency Medicine, the journal of emergency care is a special journal for physicians and other professionals in the field of emergency medicine and related clinical disciplines. The journal publishes original contributions from all areas of emergency care: organization, disaster medicine, education, clinical topics of all disciplines, psychology, ethics, juristic aspects of providing emergency care. We accept all, overview essays, original studies and case reports. The journal also has an information section and offers an opportunity for discussion and critical reviews. In 2011 the Czech Resuscitation Council Newsletter  has become the part of the journal.

Emergency Medicine has been published since 1998 in the frequency of 4 times per year, ISSN 1212-1924 , registration number MK ČR under the Act 46/200 Sb . : MK ČR 7977th

Emergency Medicine belongs to the list of non-impact peer-reviewed journals of the Council for Research and Development of the Czech Republic.

The journal is excerpted in the Bibliographia Medica Čechoslovaca.
